Privacy policy
Zarmin, Zarmin Pro and Zarmin Admin ยท Last updated October 25, 2026
Zarmin connects people who want a place recorded (customers) with people who record it for them (pros). This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Your mobile number, to sign you in with a one-time code and to answer an invite request.
- Your name and public name, and an email address if you choose to add one.
- Invite requests: your number, name and the few words you write about what you want to do.
- Requests, videos and photos you create or record in the apps, with the map drawings that go with them.
- Location: pros' location while they record, so a recording can be checked against the request, and a customer's rough location, only if they allow it, to open the map near them.
- Device data: a notification token so we can send you app notifications; your device's model, operating system, app version, screen size, text size, language and time zone (also when you ask for an invite, so we can check Zarmin will work on your device), so we can fix problems you run into; and basic technical logs (for example, errors and a one-way hash of your internet address used to limit abuse).
How we use it
Only to run Zarmin: signing you in, matching requests with pros, storing and delivering recordings, reviewing recordings before they are delivered, preventing spam and abuse, and contacting you about your account or requests. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages (SMS)
- We text you a sign-in code when you ask for one.
- If you ask for an invite and tick the box agreeing to it, we send you one text answering your request: an invite code if it is approved, or a note that it is still in our queue. Asking for an invite does not sign you up for any other texts. Details: SMS terms.
- Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts and HELP for help.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver the messages for us.
Who can see your information
- Your videos and photos are private to your account. A recording made for a customer's request is visible to that customer and to the pro who recorded it.
- Zarmin admins can see accounts, requests and recordings to review and deliver them and to handle problems. Every such access is logged.
- Service providers that run parts of Zarmin for us, only as needed: Twilio (text messages), Cloudflare (storage of videos and photos), Google (maps and app notifications through Firebase) and our hosting provider.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and recordings while your account is open. Invite requests are kept so the same number is not asked twice; tell us if you want yours removed. When an account is deleted, its videos and photos are deleted with it.
Your choices
- You can change your name, email and mobile number in the app.
- You can turn off location and notifications in your phone's settings.
- To see, correct or delete your information, or to delete your account, contact us below.
Children
Zarmin is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
